The city water treatment and distribution operators are the unsung heroes of this story. I sleep better knowing we have trained and certified men and women who work round the clock keeping our water safe to drink.
Your piece is most important for the many who think science isn't important until it comes to something as simple as getting a drink or flushing the toilet! Sort of where "the rubber meets the road" aspects of what good government is all about, but what has been missing for quite a number of years and continues to haunt us. Sometimes the reality of what it is all about gets clearer when someone points it out! Good job of doing just that!
We need to keep emphasizing that clean water is not to be taken for granted. I’m annoyed when I see the pop up sprinklers running in my neighborhood in September when we’re in a drought.
